[生活美語] 前幾天去南門市場，看到兩張豬臉掛在燒臘店門口...卻讓老師想到了一些可以和一些和燒臘相關的單字以便跟外國朋友介紹美味的燒臘。
各式各樣的香腸 - Chinese sausage
臘腸 - smoked sweet pork sausage
膶腸 - duck liver sausage
香腸 - sweet pork sausage
糯米腸 - glutinous rice sausage
血腸 - Chinese blood sausages
roast(ed) duck - 烤鴨
roast(ed) chicken - 烤雞
(商店裡那種串起來轉著烤的烤雞叫 rotisserie chicken)
barbecued pork - 叉燒
PS 真想把那兩張豬臉買下來當萬聖節的面具。
補充資料:
grill -放在烤架上燒烤，烤肉架也叫 grill。
barbecue - 和grill類似，但精確的定義則是「低溫長時間烘」，會聯想到上面有塗醬料 (barbecue sauce)。
chargrill - 炭烤，食物上都有焦黑的樣子。
roast -烘烤，希望整個食物平均受熱，與grill不一樣，適合大塊肉類(烤雞)。
smoke - 用煙來燻烤食物。
broil - 是烹飪上所謂的「上火」，也就是說熱源是從食物的上方出來的，溫度通常蠻高。
bake - 在烤箱裡烤，一般習慣用法就是用於麵粉類食物。
